Our experience was amazing! The staff was welcoming and the service was outstanding! The covered patio was beautiful and provided a relaxing atmosphere. The food (lasagna and seafood risotto) was served in generous portions and we enjoyed every bite!
We were celebrating our anniversary with a quiet dinner and Lockkeepers made the evening perfect!

Diane, our server, and her trainee were outstanding. As always, the food quality was excellent. The female manager was attentive and checked on us and other diners regularly. Lockkeepers chef(s) are very good and always coming up with delicious changes to their menu. Jobs well done!

We were riding the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic so this nearby restaurant seemed like a good choice. It was! I don’t know who or what has cost them 1/2 star to date, but it’s beyond me. We all enjoyed our meals. But iI will speak only to mine. I had the soup, potato-leak. It was one of the best soups I’ve had – creamy and rich. Then the seafood risotto – fabulous. Creamy and loaded with perfectly cooked scallops and shrimp. And by the way, the house bread and tapenade were perfect. I could have been happy with just the bread. I saved the best for last: our server was one of the best ever. She was sweet and professional! We highly recommend this place and our highest compliment will be returning.

This restaurant totally exceeded my expectations!! We celebrated my birthday luncheon here today, and they totally were everything I looked for… from the customer service when I made the reservation, to the friendly Valet Staff, to the manager that helped me carry and secure my cake, to the waitress staff that served our table. The ambiance of this restaurant is superb, and I look forward to making this an often visited and patronized establishment!! #hatsoftoyouall and I can’t leave out the amazing food!

The filet mignon was the best steak I’ve ever had. The sauce paired with it was awesome. Also tried the seafood risotto, it was packed with seafood and great flavor. Huge portion, so well worth the money. Servers were attentive and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and left beyond happy that we did! The service was phenomenal, our food was delicious and the views were beautiful! The other thing we really liked—and were pleasantly surprised by—was the portion sizes; there was no way we were leaving still hungry!Overall it was a great experience, and we loved how special they helped make our night. Would absolutely recommend and cannot wait to go back!

My first time in Cleveland, and so my husband and I looked for a place to have dinner, so glad we chose Lockkeeper, didn’t fail us, in fact, we love it! For the starter we had eggplant Rollatini, entree’s were lasagna, sword fish, drinks were manhattan, montenegro, sea side california wine (pinot noir), lemoncello and for the dessert was Creme brûlée! Would recommend all the above as they are real good, the ambience, location and service at it’s finest!

Delicious food and friendly and efficient service. They have an extensive wine and cocktail menu and large windows with a pretty view of the fast-moving waterway below. There is optional valet parking but we just parked ourselves.

We were so happy to return to Lockkeeper’s post pandemic shutdown for a special weekday lunch for our group of 6. We arrived a little early for our reservation (following a family funeral). The host did not blink an eye or fuss over the early arrival & we were seated immediately. Our server was incredibly attentive and considerate of our situation…providing plenty of time and space to have our lunch. The food was generally very good (default expectation with Lockkeeper’s). The lunch crowd had the main dining room about 2/3 full (nice to see!). It was a little noisy but in a good way. It all felt so normal. Despite all we’re reading about staffing issues and quality of service, Lockkeeper’s provided a great service team and lunch. So happy I made the choice to drive over. Thank you all!

Fifty-third Wedding Anniversary. Restaurant was well prepared for our special night. Excellently prepared dinners, soup and special chiefs salad.
Diane was out attentive server. She is very conversational without being intrusive.

All of our meals were excellent—grilled salmon, seafood risotto, and Frank’s Salad with grilled salmon. Appetizer of tomato/basil/artichoke soup was delicious (could have been slightly hotter). Our server was perfect—helpful, friendly, available but not hovering or excessively casual (“how’s the food, guys”—mercifully, this was never spoken). Bread was perfect, with butter and olive tapenade complimenting the crusty slices just right.
This was our first meal in a restaurant since March 2020, and it was a delight.

I just want to drop you a note to say how much we enjoyed the excellent take-out family dinner for 10. It was terrific! It was a real treat for our whole family, but especially for me. We shared the meal with our whole family, dividing it between three locations. My daughters and I were thrilled not to have to cook dinner on top of all the other Christmas responsibilities.
The menu selections were great; everything traveled well and reheated easily. Having all the “courses” was special and festive. Please tell your chef that it was all delicious—antipasto, Italian wedding soup, lasagna , chicken Marsala, vegetables, potatoes, and cheese cake. Wow. The portions were generous and the flavors were yummy.

A true fine dining experience, Lockkeepers is keeping the standard high, even during these restricted times. Just look at this food, it is beautiful and straightforward and so so delicious. The wait staff still understands what good service is all about. Free valet is a nice perk right now too. If you want a menu that skews Italian and American with bold flavor and top notch ingredients, here you go. A winner for over 20 years, and the newly renovated interior is handsome too.

It was my birthdate I invited my Sister, Daughter, and a couple friends out to celebrate 72 years of life during a pandemic. I chose Lockkeppers, in the valley. I was greeted by the valet as we exited the limo and the greeter once inside this wonderfully decorated restaurant. The food was exceptional and delicious. We had a Ball.

I had never been. Sold. Top shelf, top of the line. However you put it hands down. The finest dining experience I have had in quite some time. Now I’m no stranger to a collar required type establishment.
In town for a day or two. Driving through the valley and on my way to Outback or Longhorn. When I remembered Lockkeepers. I knew it was of a finer caliber restaurant. This visit was on a whim. I was actually just killing some time and a little hungry. I was casual a little to casual for the dining experience. Winter hat, baggy jeans, and an old flannel. When I entered I was warmly greeted. The hostess was on a phone call. Which quickly and politely put on hold to welcome me. Lunch for one I was offered a seat in the bar area which was open and well lit. Or the house dining room. A little more pr private a bit dimmer. Now that’s comfy cozy for me. A pillow on the seat nice touch. I felt comfortable. My waitress knowledgeable about the menu, and the specials. I had the duck. Omg. Tomato basil with artichoke. Mmmm.
I could go on and on. And on. But, Not one complaint. The restroom was immaculate. The service set a bar for me. And last but not least the consumables. Honestly even the water tasted great.

Glad they are open again. The restaurant has been recently refreshed and it looks great.
We started at the bar. They still have their great cocktail menu and extensive wine list. I had the Manhattan. Thank you for the extra cherries!
We were seated in the main dining room. The tables are spread out and they are doing their part to keep things clean.
For appetizers, we tried the stuffed peppers and the tuna tartare. My favorite was the tuna tartare. The tuna is served on a crispy risotto cake..delicious!
The special was Walleye with risotto and asparagus. It was a nice light dish. The menu is somewhat limited as they are just reopening after being closed for renovations. My usual favorite is their pork saltimbocca. They assured me that it will be back!
But even with the limited menu, there is something for everyone.
We concluded our evening with Tiramisu and limoncello. The tiramisu had a bold espresso flavor, just the way I like it!

Stopped for Lunch with my wife after biking on the Cuyahoga Park Tow Path. So we were dressed very casual they made us feel welcomed and service was great by Gretchen. I had the slow roasted prime rib sandwich. It was excellent probably the most tender sandwich I’ve ever had truly melt in your mouth tender. My wife had the Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti. She really loved it too. She raved about the sauce and the chicken was also very tender. We tried an after dinner drink of their house made Limoncello liquor very good fresh lemony taste. I really wanted to try the Seafood Risotto that people rated very good but it was not on the limited menu due to Covid-19. The server did say they could add scallops to the mushroom risotto to accommodate, maybe next time. We will definitely be back again.

The hostess Carla, was very accommodating.
The location was recently remodeled along with the banquet facility if you’re not a local you definitely need to stop in while traveling it’s not far from the main interstate.

First time dining here and was not disappointed! A recent renovation inside provided a beautiful backdrop for a stunning meal. I recommend the Scallops w/ mushroom risotto. A perfect fall pairing with the harvest salad. Start your dining experience with the calamari. They infuse kalamata olives and sum dried tomatoes along side the lightly breaded calamari . Need I say more? Our service was five star making our overall experience a lasting memory to share with friends. We will definitely be back soon!

Absolutely nothing bad to say. 3 couples went out to celebrate 2 birthdays. Everything from the bread to dessert was delicious. The mushroom soup was to die for and the calamari was better than any we have had. I also had the veal chop, which was amazing. Others had the ribeye, the salmon and the pasta special. Every dish was great. This was likely the best meal I have had anywhere. And server Jackie was the best. Been here many times,,,this was the best, and I am ready to go back.

We were celebrating my wife’s birthday. We had a great server, Robin, who made our usually great experience here even better. He casually asked how everything was and I mentioned that my risotto cake was a little crispy. I didn’t complain, just answered his question. He brought us a piece of delicious cheese cake to make up for it. My wife and I both wanted to change what was served with our main entrees and they were, as always, very accommodating. We’ve been here with my staff at Christmas and the service is just as good. We highly recommend LockKeepers.

This was our first return visit to LockKeepers in many years. We found ourselves wondering why we had not returned sooner. We dined with friends … for a total of 6 of us. We were seated very quickly. Our server Angela and the server she was training Maria came to the table very soon after we were seated. She was attentive yet not overbearing. She took orders for beverages and delivered them well. The appetizers we ordered and shared were very good. All of our meals were excellent. And the desserts we shared were also very tasty. All in all, it was a great dinner with friends. What’s more, we were not hurried out once we finished dinner and dessert. We’d highly recommend LockKeepers!

This remains our favorite restaurant for lunch out with friends from Lakewood. Living in Akron, it is the perfect place for meeting halfway. More importantly, we are always pleased from start to finish with the food, service and ambiance. We have yet to try a dish we didn’t thoroughly enjoy. The service is stellar but unobtrusive. The ambiance – we love it. Can’t wait to come again.

Definitely worth the wait, we could only get a table late 8:15 , really not an issue once we got there ! The service was spectacular , the waitress was absolutely amazing , and patient with my trouble making a decision , because everything looked great !! “We were warmly greeted as we entered LockKeepers. We had a reservation, so we were seated promptly. We started with a wedge salad and a greens salad. Both were large portions and very good. They served bread with an olive tapenade. Delicious!!!! We ordered lasagna, which came piping hot!! Very good!!!! We also ordered the seafood risotto. Very large portion with a lobster tail on top and scallops throughout the risotto. Again, delicious!!!!! No room for dessert, unfortunately…..I highly recommend LockKeepers!!! Just remember, you have to pay a little more for great food…I have no problem with that.”

Amazing meals await you at LockKeepers. From high end and reasonably priced drinks at the bar, to appetizers that stand out in every way, to main courses that impressed both visually and to the palette, LockKeepers is an experience that is remarkably affordable for the quality and care that you receive. Located on the Ohio Canal, started in an original LocKKeeper’s house, this establishment, like the fine wine they serve, gets better with age. The traditional meat and seafood choices were delicious and the Italian fare was impressive and authentic. All told, a fine dining experience worthy of the trip and worth coming back.

Our server was prompt and informative when we had menu questions. The daily soup special, a kale, white bean sausage soup was delicious, my one guest had gnocchi with mushrooms that she said was excellent, and my other guest had the trout and he said it was excellent. I had the lunch pronto which was a small salad with pasta and bits of sausage and roasted cherry tomatoes and it was very tasty. Such a great place with top-notch service and comfortable decor.

This was the best Italian food I’ve ever had. I feel like that may sound dramatic but it just was. When I was in New York I had some pretty good food but this was just flat out the best. The service was impeccable and the patio was lovely at night. Normally I don’t care to actually order three courses but when I was there I had to because it was all amazing. The meatball appetizer was beyond expectations as the polenta was cooked perfectly and it had just the right amount of cheese without making it too heavy. My friend and I both ordered the lasagna and it was lovely to see that they are baked in their own separate and rather large pans. For dessert the caramel creme brulee was just so amazing. I can’t stress enough how it was so fluffy and smooth and the amount of sugar was spot on so, it didn’t feel overdone on sugar, it was all flavor with the fresh berries. We went here because this place was listed on a haunted Ohio road trip but now I don’t care how many ghosts might be there as long as the food, atmosphere, and service are just as amazing every time. I am definitely coming back here.

This was our second time at Lock Keepers. Both times to celebrate our anniversary. This time we brought friends that were also celebrating an anniversary. They were impressed with the service & food. Great Food and even better service! Everything we tasted was wonderful. They have the best calamari I’ve ever eaten. Lightly battered and fried but with a mix of olives and other wonderful ingredients. I had the long bone veal and it was more than I could eat. The setting is an upscale bar with almost every spirit you could ask for. It was Saturday night and although filled it was not noisy. It was our first time there and we will be back.

LockKeepers is always a 5 star experience for food and service. Today my cousins and I took my 95 year old aunt there to celebrate her birthday. Our server Ashton was amazingly kind , attentive, and patient especially to my aunt who has a hard time hearing. What an amazing young man who was “present” to each of us every time he came by…he paced our meal leisurely, joked with us, and took care of every request….his presence today made our celebration perfect. Thank you Ashton and LockKeepers for giving my aunt a wonderful 95th birthday celebration.

Went for a birthday dinner on a Wednesday evening. Service was attentive, food was excellent, ambiance conducive to quiet conversation. Even the valet gave exceptional service – bringing the car back when my husband forgot to change his sunglasses for regular glasses. Would recommend for celebrations. We will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I haven’t been to this restaurant for dinner in I believe about year. I remembered the food always being delicious and I must say it definitely was last night but what I really wanted to talk about was our waitress. My boyfriend and I both agreed it was the best service we’ve ever had at an upscale restaurant. I believe her name was Laney she was phenomenal and is def the reason we will continue to go back at the restaurant.
Btw. Our dinner was a seafood risotto and surf and turf with a eggplant rollatini as an appetizer..it was a 10/10!

Returned many times over many years
We went for an anniversary treat this year. We’ve celebrated numerous special occasions here. The staff were extra attentive to us when I let them know about our anniversary. Our meal was excellently prepared from the appetizer to desert. They have a fine wine selection. We have had selections from the pastas and specials over the years and never been disappointed. I found their website to be helpful. The main dining area is just beautiful.

We had an Open Table reservation for special occasion for party of 7. Happened to be getting married that day– small family only wedding.
Arrived at Lock Keepers after the service and were brought up stairs to a party room (Sommelier room). were provided with a toast of champagne and had a private party. Very unexpected and absolutely perfect. The food was marvelous our pretty hostess/waitress was spectacular. Lock Keepers was the most wonderful choice for our special day. Gnocci, Tortellini, Veal Parm, and seafood dishes were all wonderful and highly recommended.

Wow just wow. Best steak I have eaten in years. Spot on cooking to temp ordered. Hand crafted cocktails to die for. Was super busy duah new years eve but felt like I had a personal server the entire time. Portions were also huge. I’m a big eater so I finished mine but date took an entire 2nd meal home. We took 1/2 a desert home. Its not cheep but its not 100 a plate over priced. And especially the portion size being large. Will defiantly go back. Thank you lock keepers for making a perfect new years dinner.

One of my family’s favorite restaurants for years. Always a great meal, drinks, and dessert! The specials are fantastic. The location is also great! We enjoyed Frank’s Salad (and how nice that it can be ordered in a half portion) and the strip steak and filet. The peach sundae was truly outstanding and those seated near us were impressed as well. The cheesecake is among the very best. This is truly a special restaurant!

Patio dining at its finest!
I was there with a friend this past week, sitting out on the patio. (To be clear, it’s really a deck overlooking the canal, not a patio – so you’re elevated, which is nice.) They have blinds that they can pull down as the sun sets if the intensity of the sun is too much. They have conversational seating with outdoor lounge furniture and dining tables (high, low and round), so you can fit a party of any size out on the deck. The music is low, which is the perfect ambiance and noise level, so you can talk to each other. The waiter and hostess were extremely professional, courteous and helpful. Each table was adorned with fresh flowers.
What a great wine menu! I opted for the fresh green salad to start, which was very light and minimal. Perfectly dressed. For dinner, I chose the sockeye salmon with fresh crabmeat – one of the specials of the day. The dish was so ARTFULLY presented! Who doesn’t love pretty food!? The best part was, it tasted even better than it looked. A definite place to hang when you want chill vibe, and you want to be outside. I would highly recommend this establishment!

Lockkeepers is always a special treat. Took my 94 year old aunt for a needed “special afternoon.” We had her favorite calamari (split appetizer), wine , and seafood risotto , and she had her coffee. Everything was delicious, and the quiet elegant ambiance was perfect. Our waiter was wonderful ….so kind and patient, and very attentive to our every need without being pushy or annoying. I never mind paying for quality and class, and for lunch the value was amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

We had an amazing dinner. From wine to dessert, salads and entrees, everything was excellent. Our servers gave us excellent recommendations based on our discussion of what we like/dislike. There was no sense of being rushed through our meal which was great since we were with friends we don’t often see. Exceptional items included grilled peaches and prosciutto, watermelon and arugula salad, duck ragout gnocchi, lemon and herb roasted grouper, salted caramel brownie with the best cherries ever, and spumoni galato.

Wonderful food, great service….
I read a few reviews that said that the prices were too expensive. My friend and I ate modestly….meaning we did not order the most expensive items on the menu–and we didn’t order the cheapest items. And given the quality of the food, service, and ambiance, we felt it was good value. And we knew ahead of time this was not your average restaurant.
I had a cup of the tomato basil avacado soup and my friend had the Florentine. There was warm Italian bread with both soft butter and olive tapanad. Yum. I ordered iced tea (it was delicious and freshly brewed) with a slice of lemon. On refills, the server remembered to include a fresh slice each time. My friend had an Arnold Palmer iced tea…half lemonade and half tea. I ordered the lasagna which came piping hot and enough for a take home meal and my friend had the chicken scallopini with mashed potatoes and steamed squash. The server did not put our orders until we both finished our soups…both excellent. Loved that. She didn’t rush us, was very attentive without interrupting and keep everything refilled…including the bread. Our bill came to $60 not including tip…and trust me, we were generous with such superior service.
We will be back again. And definitely for special occasions. I’m sorry I hadn’t been there sooner.

My family and I are on vacation from Philadelphia and visited Lockkeepers for the first time. It was a beautiful day and we sat on the patio. The staff was so gracious to us. The food was delicious from the appetizers to the entrees and then onto the fabulous deserts. We had such a fun and relaxing afternoon. After the meal we walked up the Erie-Ohio Canal Tow Path which runs right past the restaurant. What a nice day.

Happy hour review! I stopped in a few minutes before happy hour started (4-6) on a Friday evening and there were about 6 other people at the bar. But this place was packed by the time I left at 6pm plus a wedding reception in their upstairs banquet room. From my experience it is easy to see why all these people stopped by: the food and drink are fantastic. I eat Brussels sprouts off every menu and they have some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The crunch, the seasoning, the taste on these were perfect! I also enjoyed the sausage stuffed peppers. For the drinks I tried the peach Bellini and loved the Italian margarita. This margarita replaces the triple sec with amaretto and it is fabulous. I know I will be back in for those Brussels sprouts and maybe give their dinner menu a try too.

A group of 15, including 5 children, went on a Saturday afternoon. Our reservation was at 1 but our event ended early and they were very accommodating and let us move up our reservation. The waitress was great and never got flustered with all of our requests. The food was very good and came in a reasonable amount of time for such a large group. Even though they don’t have a kids menu they were able to accommodate all the picky children. I would definitely go back.

I just loved this place. I was in the company of loved ones who live nearby, and this was a wonderful experience. I had a perfectly presented proseco in along stemmed beautiful glass. When the bread came I could smell it approaching the table. My cousins both had the fontina prosciutto stuffed long boned pork chop which I was immediately jealous I did not order. But then I took a bite of my veal parm on the long bone. I almost did not need a fork. Better than old school veal parm, modern veal parm cooked perfectly and oh so tender. I chose to get some of the nightly special, homemade ravioli. I could finish only a quarter of my huge plate. I was determined to try the most decadent and moist flourless choc cake, and was wild for the affogato espresso I pored over vanilla bean gelato.
Our waitress, Jackie did not skip a beat. She is a 10. If you go ask for her. The next day my cousin and I read about the
Venetian executive chef, quite accomplished, and both the pastry chef and the chef d’ cuisine. They know how to please and it was clear to me they were very serious about what came out of the back of the house. The ambiance, the dim lighting, and the charm of the story of the locks makes me, a Los Angelean, want to go back in the summer and lunch on th patio. This is a gem in the Cleveland surrounds.

Fantastic Dining Experience!
Three of us had dinner on May 12th. We brought company from Los Angeles. We chose Lockkeepers because it fails to disappoint. We were fortunate to have Jackie as our server. She was excellent, as she has been on previous visits. We ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop and the Long Bone Veal Chop. Both were outstanding. The combination of ingredients and flavors in and on the pork chop are absolutely delicious! The veal chop was fork tender. The side of risotto cake is a treat. The dessert of flourless chocolate cake and the Affogato beverage were both perfect finishing touches. Lockkeepers is first class from ambience to service to gourmet food. It has become our favorite local restaurant.

We had a late lunch, booth of us choosing the featured Barramudi. It was cooked to perfection with a cream corn sauce to complement the fish, which was served with spinach and couscous. The portions generous, but not overly so… no take home containers. Our server was attentive and friendly.

Our server Gabe was very personable and able to answer all our questions about the menu items.

Great ambience w/ a nice view of the water flowing under a bridge. Bar & outdoor seating for a nicer day. Very large restaurant. They also offer valet.
Karen, our amazing server was right on top of everything. Not once did our water or iced tea get low. Olive tapenade & warm bread cake or immediately. The chefs specials & menu were described clearly w/ prices.
Very glad we went with Karen’s recommendations!! I got the Simple Salad which was the perfect amount of healthy & lite, while my friend got the heavier Chef special salad, both were delicious!
Split the Grilled Atlantic Salmon since neither of us were starving. Glad we did, but I could’ve eaten it all becauseit was absolutely fabulous. Cooked medium to perfection on top of a beautiful sweet potato purée, charred brussels sprouts, large farro & a sweet apple cider reduction that was similar to a maple syrup. Kudos to the chef on that combination. Honestly, I could eat this everyday!
Karen also said their yellowfin is wonderful so I will be back again tomorrow lol!

Took a chance and went to Lock keepers last night at around 8:30 with my husband. This was a last minute decision, so we had no reservation.
The hostess asked us if we wanted to wait in the lounge until late a table was available…the manager overheard and came over and told us that he,would see what he could do to get us seated. He returned within seconds to let us know that he was able to switch somethings around and found us a table, and we were immediately seated. He was so very kind and accommodating.
Karen was our server and recommended a delicious bottle of wine! The service was exemplary. The food was so delicious. They even had my favorite flavor of gelato, that they make in-house.
This was our second time there, and we will definately be coming back soon.
Lockkeepers is a fine dining establishment with a warm and welcome feel. The staff are always on point and friendly. If you have never been to this gem of a place, I highly suggest that you go. You’ll be glad you did.

This is hands-down my new favorite special occasion/celebration restaurants. This place is classy, dressy, pricey, romantic, dimly lighted, quiet, and fancy. The service and staff were great. My boyfriend and I came here on Valentine’s Day. We made reservations 2 weeks prior and they only had one reservation for 8:30pm. Our waitress checked in on us an appropriate number of times. They started by giving us warm bread with delicious tapenade and soft butter. It was fantastic. Once we finished they brought another bread and the tapenade and butter. Our waitress explained the specials and answered our questions perfectly. All the food was brought in on time and at the same time. We did not have to wait for a long period of time. We got the meat and cheese board and everything was great and a good portion size. Then we asked to split a Ceasar salad and they split it for us without us asking. I ordered the Porkchop wrapped in prosciutto with the risotto and green beans. Honestly, the best risotto I’ve ever had. The green beans were nice and crispy. The porkchop was cooked perfectly and the sauce was great. My boyfriend got the breaded veal dish with spaghetti and I liked it even more than mine. The veal was superb and the spaghetti sauce was great. The portion sizes were large so we ended up bringing home leftovers that were just as good as the first round! We got the tiramisu which was a slight disappointment. The lady fingers were kind of dry but we ended up pouring our cappucinno into it. Everything else was so delicious I didn’t even care. The drinks were great especially my boyfriend’s Tom Colins drink. Our waitress brought complimentary pink dessert wine which was bubbly and great with the tiramisu. They are known for their wines so I would definitely go back there and try it again!

Lockkeepers never disappoints. The food was outstanding—the long bone pork chop and salmon are two of our favorites. It’s great that they offer half of the Dave’s salad–the perfect pre-entree size. As always, the cheesecake is the best. Andrew, our waiter, was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided great service. The front desk staff is very welcoming and able to cope with large crowds. This remains my favorite Cleveland restaurant.

This restaurant has been our fine dinning choice for special occasions, i.e., birthdays, anniversaries, etc.. And when we just want a great dinning experience. A little bit of a drive from Akron. But well worth it. Service has always been top notch. The food? Incredible. We have never in as many times we’ve dinned there had a bad meal or lacking in service. Weekends are jammed. Go early or after 9PM to not feel crowded. But even at their peak of service, we never felt like the wait staff was anxious to turn our table. Highly recommend this upscale eatery. For any occasion. or just because it’s great any time.

We had Thanksgiving at the LockKeepers. Service provided by our waitress was exceptional and everyone’s food was great. Overall ambience was perfect for our holiday meal.
Consistently one of Cleveland’s best restaurants for good reason. They have a solid menu with great dish composition and execution. We were there for Thanksgiving, which also happened to be my mother’s birthday this year, and even their traditional Thanksgiving dinner was presented as if it was one of their regular entrees or a daily special. Their gift of a birthday dessert selection was a really nice touch.
We went to Lockeepers for Thanksgiving and it’s our second year in a row. Due to some family changes, we are on our own now, and I am no cook 🙂 My dad is a chef, and I am used to an amazing meal, so the bar was set high. Lockeepers does NOT dissapoint – it was an AMAZING meal. I got the traditional Thanksgiving feast, my daughter got grilled cheese (not on the menu that day), and my husband got a filet that was about 3″ thick (he was in heaven). My kids also got little kiddie non-alcoholic cocktails – which is our new tradition. We plan to return year after year. That staff was amazing and the chef really knows what he’s doing! Bravo!!

We always make sure we include in our trip to Cleveland lunch, happy hour and or dinner. We always hit a home run. This amazing venue goes above and beyond the call in service, food, value and satisfaction. The happy hour is dinner enough with generous appetizers for $5-7 and if your appetite is not satisfied, the filet and fish, pasta…. everything we have ever had is gourmet…. can’t wait for our next trip back! Authentic Italian like grandma made!
Being Italian and a decent cook, my expectations for Italian are high. LockKeepers exceeded my expectations. Delicious bolognese, homemade ravioli and pasta cooked to perfect al dente, lots of cheese, huge portions, fantastic chewy cibatta with a salty, caper, olive, evoo spread and a decent wine list. EVERYTHING down to the canoli was every bit as good as mine and right up there with my grandma’s. Beautiful evening on the terrace topped off with a glorious sunset made for a delightful evening. One of the best meals I have ever had in the metro Cleveland area. We hadn’t been here in years. I looked at the menu online and the new Fall menu was so interesting we decided to go. I had the Beef Carpaccio and believe me this is the best I have ever had in NEO. It was generous and fresh and since I don’t care for truffle oil, they were happy to substitute olive oil. I ordered the pumpkin ravioli from the Fall menu and it was perfect. My husband had a Frank’s salad and the winner of the night the bone in pork osso bucco. The meat was honestly like butter. So perfectly cooked. Our server Jen was top rate! I have a garlic allergy and she was very accommodating and willing to as the kitchen questions. This is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had in NEO n the past seven years and that includes all the CLE hotspots! Do yourself a favor…GO!!!!

As always, Lockkeepers is outstanding. We were a party of six, celebrating a special occasion, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Jackie, our server, was extremely attentive and knowledgeable. Fish, meat and pasta entrees were all wonderful. It’s really great that they offer half portions of their salads. We also loved the desserts, especially the cheesecake and tiramisu. I love walking into a restaurant and having them know who I am without even having to give my name—that’s a class operation! Even the valets are outstanding here—attention to detail that makes Lockkeepers my favorite Cleveland restaurant.

First, service is PHENOMENAL. Never found wanting for anything. Now, the food. Oh, I’m not going to use words, they won’t do justice. Do you like to eat really good food? Go to Lockkeepers, I couldn’t find anything on the menu that didn’t look good. The Italian fare looks good. The meats look good (I was trying to figure out how to gnaw on the bone in my bone in pork chop saltimbocca without causing a scene). The seafood looks good. Just go.

Great spot! We had not been here for a couple years and are so glad we returned. Our waitress, Karen, needs to be thanked for her attentive and good service. It was our anniversary and she comped us Proseco and a dessert. The meatball appetizer and eggplant rolatini appetizer were both devious and large. That was followed by lasagna and seafood risotto….both wonderful.
And the tiramisu was nice and creamy. We dined on the patio overlooking the river too. A lovely summer evening !

Went there after procedure at Marymount Hospital. Just yelped it and was so very pleased in every way. We had a beautifully prepared delightful shrimp on a bed of polenta, heirloom tomato salad, gnocchi to die for, long bone veal, and surf and turf. They make a great Sidecar! The service was absolutely stellar. We plan to go back soon. Oh BTW, besides being a beautiful place it was NOTICEABLY SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. Not a speck of dust anywhere. I don’t know how they do it!

After endlessly delaying my initial visit to this timeless classic, I finally decided to stop by after work – and what a great decision it was! Even for an upscale establishment, the prices are reasonable and the portions are generous enough to make you reconsider getting dessert. Furthermore, the service was quick, attentive, and friendly. Upon walking in you are immediately shrouded by the intimate, low-lit interior, which was set against a backdrop if wooden cloth covered tables. I sat at the bar where I was quickly greeted and offered a choice of drinks, which I declined, but did order a cup of minestrone and the spinach ricotta cavatelli. The bread that comes standard with all entrees is accompanied by a housemade whipped butter and an olive tapenade, which paired exceptionally well. Now for the main course, the spinach cavatelli was simply outstanding, with a nice blend of sundried tomatoes, garlic, and cherry tomatoes that lit a fire on my taste buds! One distinguishing feature of this place is the authenticity of their menu; that is, if you’re looking for Italian cuisine that is more typical of what you would find in Italy, then this place has it.

Everything about our dining experience was wonderful. Our server, Karen, was attentive and professional. Every bite of the meal was delicious. The antipasto platter had pickled onions which I love and hit the spot. My boyfriend was in love with the polenta with his walleye, which was a special. This is the second consecutive time we’ve chosen Lockkeepers for our anniversary dinner. We were not disappointed as we received great service and delicious food. We had the crab cake appetizer, and sirloin steak and pork chop as our entrees. Both were very well done. We also had a bottle of Red wine, “Abstract”, with our meal which we both enjoyed very much!

Celebrated my wife’s birthday with another couple. The food was very good, and it would be difficult to walk away hungry. The service is excellent. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, and she offered solid suggestions relative to the menu and wine. Our table was in the middle of a room with several other tables, all of which were occupied, but we never had any problems communicating across the table. Would certainly recommend LockKeepers.

I have dined at most of the finer restaurants around Cleveland and I would say without question this is my favorite. The food is outstanding, as is the service. Have been here numerous times and always have been very pleased with the attentiveness of the servers, they do all the little things that make going out for a fine dining experience a pleasure. The variety of selections on the menu is wonderful and the preparation is superb. Can’t wait to go back! Rated noise level as moderate only because sat outside last time on the patio and the traffic noise was moderate. Still very nice to sit outside by river however.

The atmosphere was beautiful (water view and inside was great!). From the hostess to the server, service was amazing! The food was so great as well, although it was so hard to pick, because all the choices were awesome. I also loved the seasonal aspects, meaning super fresh and thought out. I had the risotto seafood dish-but, they let me switch to the big scallops (I love scallops so much!) and to pasta (literally scallops and pasta -in my top five fav foods.) This dish was out of control delicious. Perfection on the scallops and lobster-and pasta! My husband got the strip-and we usually do get steak when we eat out-this steak was one of the best we have ever had! We were so full and so happy, but since the food was so good we had to try dessert. Of course we got carrot cake, like usual, and it was sooo yummy! We described it as so natural and fresh-you can tell its high quality ingredients, and not loaded with sugar for flavor. Thank you Lockkeepers for an amazing time, and an amazing meal!! We forget our servers name but she made our experience that much better! (Little blonde on Monday night) This was our first official dinner out as husband and wife, and we will definitely be back!!

I’ve been very happy with our visits this year. We usually have dinner at the bar with friends – or just my husband and myself. Their staff is great and they have a very good scotch/bourbon/whiskey selection. Ask them for what isn’t on the menu for drinks.

The food and service are out of this world. After the first taste you will be sure your food has been chef prepared with care, and not prepared by a part time grill cook with no experience or training. The ribeye is so flavorful, and the lasagna is the absolute best, served bubbling and juicy in its own individual metal cooking dish. The service is attentive and friendly without being overdone, intrusive or snobby. A perfect place to share delicious and thoughtfully prepared food with friends or on a date!

Lockkeepers remains my favorite Cleveland restaurant. The food is outstanding–the strip steak, filet, Caesar salad, minestrone, cheesecake and special bomboli dessert were all outstanding. Service is professional and unobtrusive. The decor is lovely. Even the valet parking staff is great. You can’t beat Lockkeepers!

My wife and I had an early dinner, so the dining room was very quiet. We started with drinks, then as an appetizer we shared the Eggplant Rollatine, which was substantial and to die for. For entrees, we had the Codfish Special and the Ravioli Marinara; and we each had the wedge salad. We took food home and had no room for dessert. Quite frankly, the Eggplant Rollatine and wedge salad could alone serve as dinner, with no entree. The food was fantastic. The server, Amanda, was personable, attentive and engaging. It was overall an excellent experience. We have dined there before, and have never been disappointed.

Every time I come to this place I am always thoroughly impressed with the selections of both good and drink. Value is amazing. If there was a place like this in LA or Chicago, prices would be triple of what they are for the quality gotten. Overall a great place for any occasion.

LockKeepers is a consistently excellent choice for dinner especially for those who love well made Italian favorites and specials. Service is prompt and professional. Appetizers are large enough to share, varied and of good quality. Salads are quite large (not included with entree) and feature extremely fresh and well-presented vegetables, cheeses, dressings, and accompaniments. Entrees include a large variety of high end pasta dishes and a number or excellent meat and seafood choices complete with starch & vegetables. Desserts are unique and absolutely delicious. There is a large wine menu as well as cocktail and beer offerings. The atmosphere at this restaurant is always warm and inviting but especially so on a cold winter night. There are a number of private rooms throughout this very large restaurant and valet parking is always prompt and courteous. Would definitely recommend and return.

I can’t believe I’ve lived in northeast Ohio as long as I have and I never went here. My boyfriend and I went for a late lunch and we were more than impressed. We were basically the only ones there for a while which was so nice. Our waitress was so helpful and nice. I ordered a valley view manhattan and my boyfriend got a beer from Italy. Both were very good. Beef carpaccio was our appetizer of choice and it was AMAZING. We loved it. They had a special with fish and ratatouille, which my boyfriend ordered. I got the grilled Atlantic salmon. It was love at first bite. We had zero complaints. We ordered cheesecake for dessert which was delicious as well. I’ve never been so pleased with a place on the first try. The food, service and ambiance was 100% on point. We can’t wait to go back!

First time my wife and I have dined there. Absolutely the best in terms of menu options, food quality, service and ambiance. We ordered the filet mignon and honestly it was the best we ever had. Our waitress was just great and could not have been more attentive or personable. What a wonderful dining experience we both had…definitely will be back.

We met friends to celebrate birthday’s and usually pick a more upscale place to celebrate annually. Lockkeepers is a special restaurant but prices are not out of line for what they offer. Service was attentive and our server Jackie was excellent with providing recommendations and answering questions. She didn’t rush us and was friendly. we have been there in the past and will certainly return! everyone’s dinner’s were great; steaks cooked perfectly, seafood pasta served with a good portion of shell fish and the veal chop was huge!

We have a group of high school friends who get together a few time of year and Lockkeepers has been a convenient place for east and west siders to meet. The service and food are always good and they let us sit and “gab” as long as we like. We go other places but keep returning to Lockkeepers.

From the time we were greeted from the valet till the time we exited, it was exceptional service. Very warm and friendly staff in a very warm and charming ambiance. Our server was on point and very friendly. Food was served hot and delicious. Large portions, I had to take half of mine home for a second meal. I ordered the simple greens salad. It was a large portion so our server split to share. It was delicious, spring mix with cucumber, carrot and the balsamic dressing was very good, and just the right amount to taste. My main course EEEwas the Seafood Fra Diavolo, huge. Again as stated spicy, just enough to taste, but not overbearing. There was a very good mixture of the seafood, proportioned well with the spaghetti. We were full, but splurge and ordered a cannoli to go. It was packed nicely in a box with a side of chocolate. I would highly recommend.

This was one of the best meals my family has had in a long time. I got the sword fish, a special for that night. It was the best sword fish I have ever had, tasty, tender and cooked perfectly. It was served hot (I hate cold food that’s supposed to be hot.)
The rest of our party got pasta. You could taste the difference of a house made pasta. The salads were generous and perfectly dressed. We got the eggplant rotini for an appetizer. Wow, it was perfection. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Another wonderful dinner with my husband at LockKeepers! Started the evening with Manhattans and then enjoyed yellow fin tuna and swordfish dinners, both cooked as specified. My husband also ordered Frank’s Salad, a favorite, and I ordered the special buffalo mozzarella salad; both were excellent. Julie was a great waiter — kept our table serviced, checked in with us periodically and didn’t rush us; she added a special touch and comp’ed us with biscotti w/chocolate and Brachetto for my husband’s birthday. We had a really great evening!!

This occasion was our before-Christmas-special- dinner. While LockKeepers was busy with holiday get- togethers, the service by Mary was great. She gave my husband and I samples of wine and let us know that the soup of the day was Manhatten Clam Chowder! Wow, nobody serves the Manhatten anymore. Needless to say we each had a serving and it was delicious! I had a special, Walleye on Barley resotto and my husband had the seafood on rice resotto. Both were delicious. And the housemade desserts, Tiramaso and Cheesecake were both light and so good! We will certainly be back, soon! Again, Mary is very personable and a great server!

We have never had a bad meal at Lockkeepers so wanted to take my in-laws here for their 30th wedding anniversary. This experience certainly did not disappoint! Emily Q was perhaps one of the best waitresses we have had anywhere. The wine and food recommendations were spot on and the meal was very well paced. We will be returning for many a special occasion in the future.

Easy reservations via Open Table – my party arrived staggered but were shown to lovely private room for holiday meal. Fabulous décor and attentive staff. Menu appealed to everyone but we all loved the olive tapenade that came with the bread course. Great for entertaining clients as well. We’ll be back.

Excellent Italian Along the Towpath! We went for a thanksgiving weekend lunch and had a great experience. The venue was surprisingly expansive and charming; quite suitable for events. We started with carpaccio (thickly shaved parmesan, fresh arugula) and a delicious calamari (sundried tomatoes and shiitakes were a great counterpoint and not overpowering of the calamari). We immediately honed in on the house made pastas which were all done well. The black garlic gnocchi came with plentiful lobster pieces and a great cream sauce. The lunch special (salad, soup, orrechiette with butternut cream sauce and sausage) was a fantastic deal at 16. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu (heavy on the cream!) and a few well done coffee drinks (including an espresso poured over house made gelato). Overall highly recommended.

My husband and I had our 60th Wedding Anniversary Party upstairs in your private room last December 26th and it was wonderful (about 70 of our family and friends)l….so we had to come back just the two of us and celebrate our 61st. We went for my husband’s birthday and had a great evening. The food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly, and our waiter even wrote down the name of the wine I had for me since I liked it so much. Amazing Food! Great Quality! This was our first time at LockKeepers, but it wont be our last. Nate was our server and he was fantastic! The quality of the food was amazing. My son and I both had the black garlic gnocchi with Maine lobster, it was incredible! We both raved about it. My husband had the lasagna, and my other son had the chicken parm. Both were great. It was truly a dining experience. We’ll be back!

The food is truly always impeccable. I take all of my out of town guests there because the food is so good. No one does fish better thank LK, and the seasonal dishes are unexpectedly unique. Never the usual, but also not so eclectic that the flavors don’t play well.

One year anniversary dinner with the girlfriend. Sat down and greeted with a champagne toast! Very warm welcome indeed. Our server was extraordinary and gracious. Perfect wine recommendation. The eggplant app was filling in itself with a delicious ricotta center. Lamb shank entree and seafood risotto were HUGE! We needed wheelchairs to get to the parking lot. Lamb was so tender and juicy it fell off the bone. Risotto was perfectly cooked (not easy to find). We ordered dessert and a glass of the delicious house made limoncello but yet again they delivered a complimentary biscotti plate for our anniversary!
We’ve dined at some of the “best” restaurants in CLE. But the level of service at LockKeepers is second to none!!! The authentic Italian cuisine beats any Italian. And the pizza is probably the single best slice I’ve had West of NYC!
Thank you for making our special day even that much more special!

Wanted good food with nice ambience. Lockkeepers fit the bill. We shared Frank’s Salad, with gorgonzola, pickled onion, roasted red peppers, greens – very tasty. For our main course, we got Pork Saltimbocca with fontina, prosciutto, risotto cake. It was extremely good. Also, got the Black Garlic Gnocchi, with Maine lobster, leeks and goat cheese cream – delicious! Alas, by the time we finished dinner, we had no room for dessert. It was an enjoyable place to eat, relaxed, with a lovely atmosphere. Our server, Monica, was very efficient and helpful. I’d go back in a minute.

Celebrated 3 family birthdays with 90 y/o Dad coming along. Staff was very accommodating to his special needs. The pasta dishes are fresh and fabulous. One of the nicest places to go on a romantic date and with a group. Not t-shirt and jeans place, which is so nice. We’ve dined both in the bar, before a show at Blossom and for anniversaries and birthdays in the dining room. You can actually talk without screaming, the noise level is always very comfortable and so enjoyable to be able to have great conversation over a wonderful bottle from the wine list. Often times we forget other people are dining too. A wonderful choice for great food and service. If they could add someone playing piano..we’d probably never leave! We’ll be back again very soon!! My husband took me here for a date night get away. It was everything and then some. Great Service, Great food, Great Atmosphere. After dinner ventured to the bar for a couple of cocktails and what a great atmosphere in the bar area as well. The bar tenders did an outstanding job on the cocktails. I highly recommend this restaurant for a night out on the town, special occasion celebration of if you are looking for a nice ambiance place to go.

Amazing! 10 out of 10! My husband and I had dinner here for our 26th wedding anniversary. Right away my husband liked the atmosphere. Dimly lit, romantic but very comfortable. Even the noise level was perfect. It is not one of those places where everything echoes and you have to talk loud to be heard. The staff was the warmest, friendliest I have ever encountered, from the valet who held the door open for us to the host who seated us and wished us a happy anniversary. The waitress brought us each a glass of sparkling wine to celebrate our day and after dinner she congratulated us on our 26 years of marriage & brought us a small plate of biscotti and chocolate sauce. There was even a small chocolate piece that said “Happy Anniversary”. Emily was our waitress she was very warm and attentive and everything for our meal was served at the perfect pace. We did not feel rushed or forgotten. I will ask for her next time we make reservations. The food was fantastic! We started with calamari, My husband ordered the filet and I had the Yellowfin tuna. Everything was prepared to perfection. They have an extensive drink list. I had a peach sangria which was very good. I had a hard time choosing just one dessert so I ended up getting cannoli and cheesecake to go. I tried both when I got home and I would still have a hard time picking between the two. I loved our evening here. The staff at LockKeepers made our day truly special.

Met for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, excellent service, food was fantastic, and when we ordered dessert, they split 2 different choices into 4 servings for our party to sample at will. Atmosphere was quiet and allowed for conversations to be enjoyed well into the dessert. Not often do we find great atmosphere, excellent service, fabulous food, superb dessert and wine selection. We will be back again for the next special occasion we celebrate!

My mother and I visited LockKeepers for lunch last week to celebrate her 80th birthday, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was that rare kind of place that really made an effort to give us exactly what we wanted!
On arrival, valet parking was offered and was complimentary, but you can also easily and conveniently self-park if that is your preference. I called ahead to request a corner booth so my mom could more easily hear conversation during our meal and we were placed at the perfect table.
A very nice ciabatta loaf with olive tapenade was served as we perused the menu, and there was an excellent selection, from lighter soups and salads to pizzas, pastas and hearty entrees. My mother wanted the seafood FraDiavolo, but wondered if she could have it with spicy olive oil instead of the tomato based sauce described…no problem they said, and she absolutely loved their preparation with house-made fettucine and loads of fresh shrimp, mussels and calamari. I had a nice piece of grilled salmon (cooked just as I asked) with black lentils and veggies over a good onion puree with chive oil…yum! We both selected wine by the glass (she likes red – I like white) in the $10-11 range. For dessert we wanted to share their wonderful dark chocolate cake with caramel gelato and candied walnuts, so they brought separate small plates, perfectly presented, for each of us to have our own mini serving. After, we had decaf espresso with a shot of Bailey’s Irish Cream. It was the perfect end.
Our waitress was just fabulous – really warm and gracious, attentive but unobtrusive and extremely professional. The dining room was formal, but in a cozy, inviting sort of way. We lingered throughout the lunch period without ever feeling rushed, and the bill – $120, including tip – seemed a good value since everything was just as we wanted it to be

Love, love, love. This is THE place I go to for all family events (birthdays, anniversaries) and where I stop EVERY time I’m headed up to Cleveland to catch a game or show. I love the atmosphere and the service is always exactly what I expect it to be. Not to mention the food is delicious! We live 45 mins south and it’s definitely worth the drive!

The art of fine dining lives here at Lockeepers. We arrived and we cheerfully and promptly seated meeting a friend for dinner. The waitron was very attentive and warm, she made us feel welcomed, and accommodated all of our dining requests. The food was fantastic and presentation equally so. The chef greeted us after our meal and was genuinely interested in our experience. I would recommend Lockeepers for a simply elegant experience.
5/7/2016 Sophisticated Italian-American Restaurant. LockKeepers is a mainstay restaurant in the area. The decor and atmosphere is attractive and comfortable. Service is very courteous and efficient including the Valet, hostess and our waitress. We were seated right away and had 3 people setting our table, giving us menus and taking drink orders at the same time. We have visited several times before, but last night it was a Friday night during their Happy Hour and it was quite busy. We had a nice Cab wine from California that was on their Happy Hour menu for $4.00. We then ordered from the dinner menu: the Seafood Risotto was excellent with a lobster tail, scallops and shrimp. They did not skimp on the seafood. The presentation of the grilled salmon was excellent and it was prepared just right. We then had their homemade Gelato that was creamy and full of flavor. Every time we visit we have an excellent meal and an enjoyable time.

Wonderful Restaurant. This is the second time we have dined at Lockkeeper’s and we were delighted. The atmosphere is romantic- low lights, nicely decorated. There are tables near the bar where you can wait for your table to come available. The servers were attentive and polite. The menu had many different options from appetizers to entrees. I had a dinner salad that was very large and the salmon which was cooked to just the right consistency, served with a light sauce on the side along with garlic mashed potato and steamed asparagus- delicious! My husband had the veal chop which had the meat pounded flat, leaving the bone in for presentation and served up parmesano style- with mozzarella and delicious red sauce and a side of pasta. There is a nice wine, cocktail and beer list from which to choose. For dessert, my husband ordered a dark chocolate torte served with homemade vanilla gelato. It was very rich and chocolaty with caramel sauce drizzled over the top. I had a cappuccino (espresso and steamed, foamed milk on top) served Euro style in a smaller cup with a small biscotti on the side. We will definitely return to this place again for dinner or lunch on another day- well worth it.

Excellent in all aspects. It was our first visit to this place for a romantic lunch, Valentine’s Day celebration a day early. The valet was there to greet us as soon as we pulled in, which was great as it was snowing & windy. The hostess was very pleasant & checked our coats. The interior was warm & inviting. Our server, Tessa, was very knowledgeable about the menu. We had the calamari, which is the best I have ever had, for an appetizer. My husband had a Caesar salad & I had the Wedge. Both were delicious. The lobster ravioli is the best I have ever eaten. It is all lobster with no filler added. House cannoli for dessert was a perfect ending to a excellent meal. Our waitress was outstanding. We will visit this place again. Very impressed!

Exceptional Customer Service! Had not been here in years and was more than pleasantly surprised. The food was very good but the service was outstanding. We ordered a bottle of wine that was a bit off. The server knew we weren’t pleased and without our asking had the manager pull the bottle and replace it with another of his suggestion which was excellent. Beyond that, the server was attentive without being overbearing. We were early and sat at the bar first. The bartender knows how to make proper classic cocktails. This place is a credit to Cleveland.

Wonderful place! We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We had never been here before but were in the area and decided to try it. The decor is beautiful. The service and food were excellent in all respects. I had a Italian sandwich and side salad and my wife had eggplant. Both were lunch size portions and were excellent. We also split a slice of homemade cheesecake which was also excellent….very light and not dense at all. We will be back to try a dinner here….I am sure it is a busy place on weekends. It is about a 30 mile drive for us, so we probably won’t come often. I am sure the view of the canal is excellent in the summer. Not sure if they have a patio in the summer, but it would be a great idea!!

Outstanding meal from start to finish. The meals we had were outstanding. Everything was fresh and home-made. The vegetables were incredible and I often overlook them in restaurants because the detail to them is usually overlooked. I could not get enough of the squash and zucchini that came with mine, and I don’t like squash and zucchini. The finish with Tiramisu and coffee capped a perfect dinner.

A Great Dining Experience. We went to Lockkeepers for our company holiday dinner. The food was excellent, the ambiance was perfect and the service was exceptional. The menu provides a wide choice of options to please everyone in the party. Steak, seafood, pasta, salads and desserts were all delicious. So many dishes prepared with care and creativity. The calamari is some of the best you will ever taste. This is a great place to go for a special occasion, romantic dinner or when you just want an awesome meal.

My husband and I went to LockKeepers with 2 friends. We had a wonderful time. The food and service were exceptional. The wine list was excellent. The restaurant has a lot of ambience and is conveniently located. We spent about 2 hours enjoying our meal and each other’s company. We were not rushed or hurried to leave. LockKeepers Inn provided us with a wonderful evening out.

My husband and I celebrate our birthdays at Lockkeepers. We can go to other restaurants but we have never been disappointed here so why go anywhere else? Last Saturday was my husband’s birthday. As soon as we walked in the door, we were enjoying ourselves thanks to the hostess. She was adorable! Our server, Emily, was terrific. She was friendly, attentive and knew the menu like the back of her hand. She made our night even more special. My husband had his favorite – Seafood Fra Diavolo and I had the Seared Yellowfin Tuna. Both so very delicious…as usual. We will be back! Thank you!!

I have been dining at LockKeepers for years now and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences every time. The menu is dynamic with a nice mount of choices and the wine list is extraordinary! I love it so much that we had our Wedding rehearsal dinner in the Sommelier room which was lovely, and our baby shower in one of the party rooms. I always recommend LockKeepers to friends and family because I know when dining here, I will not be disappointed. The staff is also very warm and inviting.

My wife and I were in Cleveland to see the R&R Hall of Fame for her birthday. I made reservations for Lockkeepers a few months in advance because it was close to the hotel that we were staying in. We showed up early, so we sat at the bar and had a few drinks while we waited for our table to open. After about 25 minutes the bartender brought a tray of calamari over for us…on the house. The food in this place is AMAZING. I travel quite a bit and have had steak all over the world, but for the money this place has the best steak I’ve had in years, and I’m not a shabby cook myself. The place can be a bit crowded and it’s pretty easy to spend a few hundred dollars between drinks, food, tip for waitress, tip for valet, etc, but it was worth every penny. We’ll be traveling through there for our anniversary in a few months and I have every intention of eating there again. If you are trying to make a positive impression for a “significant other” this place is well worth the cost.

The wait staff was incredibly efficient, knowledgeable and personable. Specials were explained carefully and patiently. Food was served piping hot, beautifully presented and tasted oh so wonderful. The ravioli with sweet pea filling, tomato and bacon sauce was out of this world. Wine list is exquisite.

We went to LockKeepers on the recommendation of a co-worker. She was so right! I enjoyed the pumpkin ravioli while my husband enjoyed the bone in pork chop. More than enough food and delivered to the table in an excellent presentation and perfect temperature. We will dine here again!

Everyone there is unbelieveably friendly. Happiness is contagious. Entire staff is welcoming~ the valet parkers, the hostess, the bus boys and our server. They all work together for one super dining experience. Then bring on the food. Our meals was perfect. We had steak, seafood and pasta at our table and everyone loved their dinner

My wife and I met there, and were married there. We go back on every anniversary of both. The food is always outstanding. The hardest part is deciding what to have. From salads to appetizers to main course to dessert, all are great.

What a great place to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. Immediately when we sat down we were greeted with 2 complimentary glasses of champagne by the hostess seating us. The entire staff was so friendly and whether they were our server or some other staff refilling water glasses, delivering food to table, clearing plates, etc – each smiled and offered their own congrats! Our server Jeff gave great personalized service and delivered an extra anniversary dessert too! It was a MOST DELIGHTFUL experience. Kudos to the fine, friendly, and attentive staff! ps The food presentations, quality, and taste was yummy too! So glad we picked Lockkeepers for our special date, they made it GREAT!

The service was great, the veal Marsala was delicious, the entire staff was very attentive. My friend was thrilled with the way they honored her BIG birthday! It was so nice to be dining in a beautiful room surrounded by guests dressed appropriately ( both men and women were in what could be describe as business attire) . From the General Manager, our waitress and servers to the valet attendents it was obvious that they were all working as a team to insure our visit was outstanding.

We were there for my birthday and it was a wonderful evening. We sat inside but the outside tables looked very inviting. The service was excellent and the food spectacular. The best Calamari I have eaten in years. The server asked if it was a special occasion and he brought out a delicious birthday treat. I would recommend LockKeepers most highly!!

We celebrated our anniversary at Lockkeepers. It was a special and memorable evening for the ambiance, service, and food & beverage quality. Our server greeted us with a glass of complimentary Prosecco, which was completely unexpected, much appreciated and a great start to our evening. Our appetizers were very good, in particular the evening special of shrimp, vegetable and cous cous — had amazing flavor and texture. The kale and chickpea salad with citrus dressing was healthy, fresh and tasty — and an extremely generous portion considering we were having a full course dinner. The bread and olive tapenade were excellent — best olive tapenade I’ve had in a restaurant. We also had cocktails with this course which were quite good — martini done to perfection and a house specialty cocktail with limoncello (made in-house), St. Germain and prosecco. Our dinner courses were the veal chop parmegiano with spaghetti, and ricotta cavatelli. They make the ricotta in-house and it was so, so good! All cooked and seasoned perfectly. Very generous portions. Absolutely delicious. For dessert, we shared a ricotta cheesecake with raspberry coulis. Light and delicious. We also sampled several dessert wines recommended by our server and were quite pleased. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff and service at Lockkeepers. It’s absolutely the best service we’ve experienced in the Cleveland area (and we’ve been to a lot of nice restaurants in the region). Everyone from the valet to the receptionist to the servers to the bus persons was incredibly gracious, welcoming and hospitable. Professional, anticipatory and accommodating service all evening. Our server took really good care of us — he was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, helpful and gracious. The service really made the evening. Overall, what a wonderful experience! A beautiful place with great food, drink and the best service anywhere. Highly recommend!

We had a fabulous meal at Lockkeepers on Saturday night . Chef Alberto Leandri is second to none! The entire experience was awesome, from the hostess, valet’s, wait staff, food runners and of course the kitchen. Outstanding food and surroundings! Thank you Lockkeeper’s!

I brought my wife here to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We started with cocktails in the bar. Erin makes a great drink. My wife had a Cosmo while I had an Aperol spritz–a perfect refreshing drink for a hot summer day. We met a nice couple and chatted away, soon it was dinner time.
As it was a special occasion, they gave us each a glass of prosecco to enjoy while perusing the menu.
We started with the charcuterie board, a generous assortment of Italian meats, cheeses, and olives. I selected a light red Sicilian wine to go with our meal. Next up was the special salad: radicchio, frisée lettuce, heirloom tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella. The dressing was light and fresh.
We had a hard time deciding on our main course, but our waiter Scott made some good recommendations. He brought out a sample ravioli with bolognese sauce for us to try–fantastic! My wife got the lobster ravioli while I thought about the beef medallions. Scott recommended I get the 8oz filet and he would have the kitchen prepare it “medallion style”. This is leeks, carrots, spinach in a Barolo glacé….wow, wow, wow!
Next up was complimentary biscotti with a wonderful warm chocolate gnoche. We paired this with two cannolis–homemade and filled fresh–two espressos and 2 limoncellos, also homemade.
We met another nice couple from NYC and chatted with them over dessert. What a wonderful evening. From the friendly service, the good drinks, the delicious food, and the friendly people we met, it was a night to remember.
This place easily blows away the snobbier, and pricier, trendy places that charge more for less. At LockKeepers, the value and the quality is there. Mille grazie!!

Wonderful Dining Experience! I took my daughter and 7 of her friends to LockKeepers to celebrate her 16th birthday. All of the staff did everything possible to make this a wonderful birthday celebration. The food was excellent (and they even catered to a couple of my daughter’s picky friends), the private room was perfect for a celebration, and the service by the whole staff couldn’t have been any better. After dinner, they brought out a complimentary array of beautiful desserts and lit a candle so that we could sing…such a nice ending to a beautiful evening! The menu offered many different selections for different tastes and I was very pleased with the prices. Overall, I am grateful to the whole staff for making my daughter’s birthday a memorable one!

Fantastic Dinner! It had been six months since I had traveled to Cleveland – but I definitely was heading here to have a drink and a great meal as I’d never been disappointed in the past. I sit down in the bar and wait on my group to join me and the bartender comes over – and recognizes me an calls me by name – SIX months had gone by! Great service from Erin & Coral in the bar, and then Jennifer in the restaurant. We spent a small fortune on GREAT food, GREAT wine, and it was fantastic. Can’t sing their praises enough. Highly recommend the bone in rib eye!

Made a great experience for my Mom. My husband and I picked this spot to celebrate Mother’s Day with my Mom. Our server was outstanding she understood just the right way to explain the nuances of the dishes on the menu to an 88 year old woman. The food was excellent and the pace of the meal, even for a busy day was not rushed. The cost puts it into the special occasion category but worth saving up for. The only low point was the table next to us brought laptops, digital cameras, tablets etc and took tons of pictures, video and broadcast on Facebook etc and it was disruptive at moments.
